Tests for the presence of drugs in seconds, its drug testing efficiency you can count on...
The iScreen is a urine drug test kit used for the detection of Drugs of Abuse. The kit detects drug use over the previous five days. After the donor has provided a specimen, simply dip the iScreen into the specimen and results are provides within 60 seconds.
The benefits of the iScreen include:
• Low Cost • Simple to use and read • Non invasive • Proven laboratory accuracy • Faster, Darker Lines for easy and conclusive reporting • Smaller, Compact Design • 99.9% Accurate • Results in Seconds • 18 month shelf life • Is CE marked and FDA approved • No technical training required • No clinical personnel required
Instruction for Use:
1. Remove iScreen test from foil pouch at room temperature. Take off the cap revealing the testing strips. 2. Immerse test vertically in the urine sample for at least 10 – 15 seconds. Do not allow the specimen to touch the device housing 3. Read at 5 minutes. 4. Interpretation of Results.
Principal
The one step drug screen test card is an immunoassay based on the principal of competitive binding. Drug which may be present in the urine specimen compete against their respective drug conjugate for binding sites on there specific antibody.
During testing, a urine specimen migrates upward by capillary action. A drug if present in the urine specimen below its cut off concentration will not saturate the binding sites of its specific antibody. The antibody will then react with the with drug protein conjugate and viable colored line will show in the test line region of the specific drug strip. The presence of drug above the cut off concentration will saturate all the binding sites of the antibody. Therefore the colored line will not form in the test line region.
A drug positive urine specimen will not generate a colored line in the specific test line region of the strip because of drug competition, while a drug negative urine specimen will generate a line in the test region of the strip because of the absence of drug competition.
To serve as a procedural control, a colored line will always appear at the control line region, indicating that proper volume of specimen has been added and membrane wicking has occurred.
